Join ALT and our friends at Flannel Roots Farm for round 5 of our popular workshop series: Sustainability at Home! Join Flannel Roots in discovering new ways to preserve and enjoy your foraged and cultivated mushroom finds! In this hands-on presentation and workshop, we will learn various ways to preserve mushrooms (making them into pickles, jerky, candy, and more!), taste the product of some of these methods, and make our own DIY Mushroom Spice Rub as a bonus take-home with dried, marinated mushrooms. This workshop provides a basic introduction to food preservation methods that can be applied to mushrooms as well as to most produce, ensuring longer lasting nutrition. Together with Flannel Roots, we look forward to sharing food sustainability tactics with you!

Each participant will receive one set of materials for attending (valued at $100!). Children under 18 are not eligible to receive the materials; please do not purchase a ticket for any children that may be in attendance with you. You must be present for the entire workshop to receive the provided materials. No walk-ins are permitted.

Generous funding and support for this series was provided by the EQT Foundation.
