Composting for Beginners

Ever wondered how you can support your garden's soil health year round? Or reduce the amount of food waste produced by your household? Composting could be an excellent solution for both! In this workshop, we'll discuss the benefits of composting, choosing a method that's right for you, and tips to getting started. No yard? NO problem! We'll discuss methods that are great for kitchen counters and small spaces.

All participants who register for and attend the entire workshop will receive a copy of the book "Composting for Beginners" by Dean Menigoz as well as be included in a drawing for a $100 Giant Eagle Giftcard.

No walk ins will be permitted. Must be registered and attend the entire workshop to receive the book and be eligible for the giftcard drawing.

Upon arrival: Enter through the Cafe doors, and you can either take the stairs on the left or use the elevator. Once you're upstairs, the Activity Room will be directly ahead on your right. You’ll enter the room through the double glass doors.
