Join ALT for round 4 of our popular series of workshops; The Sustainability at Home Series! These workshops will focus on living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle through at home sustainability practices. This workshop will feature creating rain planters with Washington County Conservation District.
In an
average rainstorm, hundreds of gallons of water run off your roof. Roof runoff
can lead to possible flooding and erosion issues to your home and the nearby
environment. Downspout rain planters are an aesthetically pleasing and
sustainable solution to harvesting and managing the rainwater that flows off
your roof. Hosted by the Washington County Conservation District, this rain
planter workshop will teach you the benefits of rain planters and how you can
properly install your own rain planter at home.
All participants will receive $100 worth of related materials for attending including; a downspout converter, rain gauge and $50 gift card to Arcadia Natives. One set of materials per ticket purchased. Children under 18 do not require a ticket and will not receive the materials. You must be present for the entire workshop to receive the provided materials.
No walk ins will be permitted.
Generous funding and support for this series was provided by the EQT Foundation.
