Celebrate Public Lands Day at Girty's Woods!
Help the ALT stewardship team continue an ongoing all volunteer trail building project at the Girty’s Woods Conservation Area. Over the past year we have been working to establish sustainable trails and add access and connections for hikers and bikers throughout the Conservation Area. Join us as we work to continue this effort. Volunteers will use loppers and hand saws to clear brush, or trail tools like grub hoes, fire rakes, and shovels to build tread.
- Rain or shine, but ALT will cancel in case of thunderstorms.
- Dress for muddy conditions and wear close toed shoes. Long pants and sleeves are recommended to avoid poison ivy or ticks.
- ALT provides all tools and extra water. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
- No Bathrooms on site.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
- Drive through the gate at the end of Irwin Lane, parking is available at the end of the gravel access road past the blue ALT sign.
